New Emphasis on Sunday at 2013 ANI
Attendees at the 2013 ANI: The HFMA National Institute will find new and revamped events on Sunday, June 16.
One Sunday highlight is the special keynote speaker: Jim Collins, bestselling author of books such as Good to Great and Built to Last, with the presentation “Great by Choice: Uncertainty, Chaos, and Luck—Why Some Thrive Despite Them All.” “Even in very difficult fields such as health care,” Collins told HFMA, “some organizations deliver better and more sustained results than others.” This expanded keynote session begins on Sunday at 4:45 PM.
Collins has worked with senior executives and CEOs at more than a hundred corporations, studying and teaching about enduring great companies—how they grow, how they attain superior performance, and how good companies can become great companies.
At 6:00 PM, immediately following the Sunday keynote address, is another revamped event—the new Opening Night Reception. This year, the reception takes place in the exhibit hall and has a “Floribbean” theme. The reception includes food, beverage, and entertainment, along with new features, such as prize drawings and special exhibitor promotions exclusive to this event. The First-Timers Meet-and-Greet session also takes place in the Exhibit Hall this year, from 6:15-6:45 PM.
An early-in-the-day Sunday event is the Shingle Creek Golf Club Outing, from 6:45 AM – 2:00 PM. The Shingle Creek course was designed by premier golf course architect David Harman.
Finally, Sunday closes with the Post-Welcome Reception at David’s Club/Lobby Bar at the Hilton Orlando. This networking opportunity is sponsored by Craneware and starts at 8:00 PM.
Attendees are encouraged to schedule their travel to take advantage of these enhanced Sunday events. Register now.
