For the second time in the Association’s history, HFMA will present the MAP Award (formerly the High Performance in Revenue Cycle Award) to 10 organizations that have met or exceeded criteria for success in revenue cycle processes, financial performance, innovation, adoption of PATIENT FRIENDLY BILLING® principles, and patient satisfaction. Official presentation of the awards is one of several events that will introduce HFMA’s MAP—an initiative setting new standards for revenue cycle excellence—at ANI: The Healthcare Finance Conference.
HFMA’s Awards and Recognition Program is designed to provide incentives and recognition of chapter activities to achieve results as defined by the Davis Chapter Management System (DCMS) policy. It is intended to focus chapters on important activities that add value for members or the Association while simultaneously encouraging innovation and improvement.
The Chapter Awards and Recogntition Program is detailed within the DCMS policy section of the Planning Calendar and Resource Guide. Six award groups are identified:
• The Robert M. Shelton Award for Sustained Chapter Excellence
• The Helen M. Yerger Special Recognition Award
• The C. Henry Hottum Award for Educational Performance Improvement
• Awards of Excellence for Education, including:
>The Sister Mary Gerald Bronze Award of Excellence for Education
> The John M. Stag Silver Award of Excellence for Education
> The Charles F. Mehler Gold Award of Excellence for Education
• Awards of Excellence for Certification: Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels
• Awards of Excellence for Membership Growth and Retention: Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels
HFMA recognizes its volunteers, who contribute their time, ideas, and energy to serve the healthcare industry, their profession, and one another.
